15 Year Old Charged with Beheading His Classmate in Gruesome Murder

A 15-year-old in Lawrence, Massachusetts has been arrested and charged for the murder of his high school classmate, whose decapitated body was found by the Merrimack River north of Boston last week.

On Saturday, Mathew Borges was charged with murdering and decapitating 16-year-old Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino, who first went missing on Nov. 18 after he left his grandmother’s house but never returned home.

“It’s shocking, it’s heartbreaking,” Lawrence Police Chief James Fitzpatrick said during a news conference. “I haven’t seen anything like this in my career and I hope to never see anything like it again.”

The decapitated and severely mutilated body of Viloria-Paulino was discovered by a woman walking her dog last Thursday. Police reportedly discovered the victim’s head nearby to the body; however, Viloria-Paulino’s forearms had also been cut off, and it’s unclear if officers were able to recover them, as well.

“There’s no words,” the victim’s mother Katiuska Paulino told The Boston Herald. “No words … There’s nothing I can say that is going to change anything at all.”

People reports that Borges “allegedly stabbed and mutilated Lee’s body so severely that his autopsy took 11 hours.” Multiple sources report that the teens both attended Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts, but the extent of their relationship and a motive for the gruesome murder still remains unclear.

Man Sentenced To Death For Beheading 9 Year Old Boy

An Ilorin High Court, presided over by Kwara Chief Judge, Justice Justice Suleiman Kawu, on Monday sentenced one Ahmed Abdullahi to death by hanging.

The court found Abdullahi guilty of beheading 9-year-old Hamidu Sanda in a bush at Amberi Village, Iso Wara, near Ajase-Po in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwars , on April 1, 2009.

The chief judge also sentenced the convict to five years imprisonment for being in possession of a fresh human head.

Similarly, the court also sentenced Waheed Sanni and Saka Adisa to five years imprisonment each for unlawfully receiving fresh human head.

Kawu said that Sanni and Adisa conspired to be in possession of a fresh human head of the late Hamidu Sanda for ritual purpose.

The two convicts were also sentenced to another five years imprisonment each for criminal conspiracy.

Police Nabs 12 Suspected Cultists For Beheading Man

Twelve men, who have been on the wanted lists of the Police for allegedly beheading one Afeez Obokwu in May this year, have been arrested by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti Yaba.

It was learned that Obokwu’s headless body was recovered on  the highway at Oyingbo railway while the severed head was recovered by the Police  at the Otto Ilogbo, Ebute Meta area.

The suspects arrested by the Police on tip off by members of the public include  Kazeem Ajani, Suliamon Bello, Idowu Morawo, Abiodun Adeleke,Taiwo Jayesimi, Aberdeen Sanjowa,Abubakar Umaru, Ogunlade Dayo, Sodiq Olalere, Lekan Ajayi, Jamiu Wahaab and Kudus Olatunde.

While describing the suspects as serial killers, the Police said some of the suspects were earlier arrested and charged to court but were released.

From investigation, the suspects belong to two rival cult groups called the Otto Boys with allegiance to the  Eiye cult and the Apapa Boys with allegiance to the Aiye cult  with their base at the Ebute-Meta area of the state.

The suspects in their confessional statements to the Police revealed that they had participated in various killings across the state.

Narrating how they beheaded their victim, one of the suspects, Taiwo said his gang members killed four persons in a supremacy fight and beheaded one of their victims, Afeez Obokwu .

“My name is Taiwo but  popularly called Figo. Sometimes in May, there was a crisis between the Otto Boys and the Apapa Boys. I belong to the Otto Boys. The leader of our gang is called Dangbe.

“On that particular day , our gang killed four rival cult members of the Apapa Road gang. We went to Apapa Road and engaged them in a shootout where we killed four of the Apapa Road cultists,” he said.

Taiwo Jayesimi  listed those killed to include Akin, Fatia, Afeez Obokwu and Eleto, adding that they used cutlass to behead Obokwu. “The Apapa boys also killed some of our boys namely Abeeb, Tunde, Gani and Baba Benti. It was a gang war of supremacy between our gang and the Apapa Road Boys,” he said.

French Beheading Suspect Denies Jihad Motivation

The man being held in France under suspicion of beheading his boss and trying to blow up a chemicals plant has told investigators there was no religious motivation behind the attack, a source close to the inquiry said on Monday.

The source said Yassin Salhi, 35, told investigators he was not a jihadist and repeated earlier statements that he committed the act outside the southeast city of Lyon on Friday after a row with his wife the day before and his boss a few days earlier.

Salhi, who was arrested on the scene of the crime on Friday, can be held for a maximum 96 hours under French law before being charged or released.

Saudi Arabia Beheads Man for Drug Trafficking

Saudi Arabia has beheaded a Turkish man convicted of drug trafficking, amid rising concerns about the growing number of executions in the country.

The man known as Ali Agridas was executed in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Thursday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement. Agridas had been sentenced to death after being convicted of receiving a “large amount of drugs,” the ministry noted.

His execution brings to 70 the number of people beheaded in the kingdom so far this year. Saudi Arabia, with one of the highest rates of executions in the world, has frequently been criticized by human rights organizations.

Saudi Arabia carries out capital punishment mostly by beheading. Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under the Saudi rule.

Kassig’s Parents ‘Heartbroken’ by his Beheading

US aid worker Peter Kassig’s parents said they were “heartbroken” by the death of their son, after his beheading by Islamic State militants was shown in a video Sunday.

“We are heartbroken to learn that our son, Abdul-Rahman Peter Kassig, has lost his life as a result of his love for the Syrian people and his desire to ease their suffering,” Ed and Paula Kassig said in a statement posted on Twitter.

A video released by IS militants showed the beheading of Kassig, who took the name Abdul-Rahman after converting to Islam, and that of 18 men described as Syrian military personnel. His death was confirmed by President Barack Obama.

His parents said further that, “Fed by a strong desire to use his life to save the lives of others, Abdul-Rahman was drawn to the camps that are filled with displaced families and to understaffed hospitals inside Syria.”

“We know he found his home amongst the Syrian people, and he hurt when they were hurting.”

Kassig founded an aid group through which he trained some 150 civilians to provide medical aid to people in Syria. His group also gave food, cooking supplies, clothing and medicine to the needy.

“We are incredibly proud of our son for living his life according to his humanitarian calling,” the Kassigs wrote, using the Twitter handle @kassigfamily.

“We remain eternally grateful for the many, many words of support and prayers from all over the world on our son’s behalf.”

They said they were also “heartbroken” for the families of other Western captives beheaded by ISIS.

FBI Identifies ISIS Executioner

Reports say that the United States has identified the masked Islamic State militant who murdered two kidnapped American journalists in separate videotaped beheadings.

FBI chief James Comey made this known to reporters at a briefing in Washington on Thursday, saying that,  “We believe we have identified the executioner…, I won’t tell you who it is.”

The British ambassador in Washington, Sir Peter Westmacott, had previously said that the allies were close to identifying the suspect.

Comey did not confirm or deny reports that the suspect in the killing is British, but said the FBI was concerned that another film from the Islamic State group features someone with a North American accent.

It features a masked militant in combat fatigues speaking in English.

 Comey said, “There’s no doubt that there’s someone speaking with a North American-accented English on that video, so that’s a big focus of ours right now.”
