10 World’s Best Airports For 2016 Announced (SEE LIST)

For the fourth year in a row, Singapore Changi Airport has clinched the World’s Best Airport title at the annual SkyTrax World Airport Awards, announced Wednesday in Cologne, Germany.
The Skytrax awards are based on millions of votes collected in passenger surveys.
Many of those passing through the island city-state are clearly pleased with the airport’s innovations, such as two 24-hour movie theaters screening the latest blockbusters for free, a rooftop swimming pool and a butterfly garden.
“To be named the World’s Best Airport by SkyTrax for the fourth year running is a significant achievement for Changi Airport and a clear affirmation that we continue to hit the right notes in our pursuit of service excellence,” airport CEO Lee Seow Hiang said in a statement issued by SkyTrax.

New Pump Price For Petrol As Announced By PPPRA, See How Much Has Been Reduced From Old Price

The Petroleum Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) in Nigeria has announced the implementation of the revised components of the Petroleum Pricing Template for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

In a statement by the Executive Secretary of the PPPRA, Mr Farouk Ahmed, the pump price was put at 86.50 Naira per litre, a price the agency said was in line with the prevailing market trend.

“This new price regime is with effect from January 1, 2016,” the statement read.

According to Mr Ahmed, the reversed template was approved by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

The statement said that the major components of the pricing template affected by this review were Traders Margin, Lightering Expenses, Nigeria Port Authority, Jetty Throughput, Storage Charges and Bridging Fund.

Other components revised include Retailers’ Transporters and Dealers Margins.

As contained in the breakdown, the Ex-depot price of PMS shall be 77 Naira per litre while the pump price will be 86.50 Naira per litre.

The new price is a reduction of 50 Kobo from the old price of 87 Naira.

Adesina Reveals When Ministerial List Will Be Announced

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina, on Sunday said the President may release his ministerial list before the month runs out; that is not later than Wednesday.

Mr Adesina, who spoke with Channels Television on Sunday, also said that President Buhari will meet with the Presidents of US, China, Senegal and the British Prime Minister among others on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

“Today (Sunday), the President will have high level meeting with global leaders and there will be bilateral meeting with the President of China, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, Senegal and Prime Minister of Sweden.

“President Buhari will also attend a meeting on climate change which will be hosted by the UN Secretary General, Ban-ki Moon.

“Later in the evening, the ‘Champions of the Earth 2015 Awards’ will also hold which is to honour exemplary actions and leadership in the area of sustainable development in climate change.

” Something that has been noticed through the speeches of President Buhari is the zeal to build international coalition and partnerships for sustainable development.

” The President will address the General Assembly on Monday and most likely speak on the challenges of insurgency in the West African region”, he said.
