The head wrap was brilliant blue. It mirrored the applique on the long yellow bodice of the strapless gown and was echoed in the shoes and handbag.

Lupita Nyong’o wore the outfit this past week at the Toronto premiere of her film Queen of Katwe. Fashion critics called it “flawless.”

The designer of the dress is fashion queen Carolina Herrera, born in Venezuela and now living in America. But the head tie is pure Nigerian. That got Nigerians buzzing. And they weren’t necessarily buzzing in admiration.

Before we get to that matter, let’s consider the history of the Nigerian head tie.

In Nigeria a head tie is called a gele — that’s the word used by the Yoruba, one of the country’s many ethnic groups. But the wearing of head wraps is traditional for all Nigerians and indeed for most African cultures. An artfully folded gele is part of everyday wear and de rigueur for special occasions like weddings.

You can use any kind of fabric to wrap a gele, and handwoven cloth has long been used. Today’s towering and intricate styles work are best executed with a thin crisp rectangle of cloth imported from Switzerland. Its paperlike consistency is ideal for folding, wrapping and layering.

There are many ways to tie a gele. In 1960, geles were tied to mimic the architecture of Nigeria’s first skyscraper. When the National Theatre was built with a peaked roof to mimic a general’s cap, Nigerian fashionistas folded and twisted their geles to echo the design.

I learned to tie my geles from watching my mother, but these days you can hire a professional to do the job. It’s a big business, especially for weddings.

Tying isn’t the only option. Some gele experts will create the style on a base and stitch it down, so you put it on like a hat.

That’s right, the majority of Nigerians get their clothes custom-made. So this is an industry that is not fettered to any seasonal dictates. Color reigns, embellishment is supreme and bold unusual combinations, like the yellow and blue of Lupita Nyong’o’s outfit, are standard. And when, like Nyong’o, the outfit is beautifully coordinated, Nigerians will say you’re “dressed to match.”

Socks become unpleasantly smelly when they have been used over a long time without washing.

This odour is actually a mixture of ammonia, fatty acid and lactic acid.

However, scientists have realized that the mixture of ammonia, fatty and lactic acid doesn’t give the exact odour like the real sweaty socks.

So the research continues with the hope that some other active ingredient will be identified

This odour results from bacterial action upon sweat when you wear a closed shoe for a long time.

Smelly socks can be very nasty source of air contamination especially on the plane or in the home.

While you may consider the odour from smelly socks as irritating, they always remain a strong attraction to dogs and mosquitoes.

Smelly socks attract mosquitoes, just in case mosquitoes don’t leave your room after all effort, you might want to put your socks close to your nose.

Today we would be discussing some nice tips on how to properly store your socks and that of a little baby. This cute and adorable piece of clothing can be easily misplaced when washing, drying or when not properly stored. And it can be annoying when you need to find a matching pair of socks to put on your baby and it is nowhere to be found. Or you discover as a mother that your baby’s socks drawer has more single socks without a mate than pairs of socks.

Even as an adult, it happens more often as student though, that either a left or right leg of your socks keep developing wings or they fly away to unknown destinations. It can be annoying and irritating at the same time when you have set your mind on a particular design and colour to match your outfit and then it can’t be found. When this happen from time to time you suddenly realize that you have a trailer load of single leg socks in your wardrobe.

Anyone who has ever been in this situation knows that pausing to find the mate to a sock, while dressing yourself or a baby, is not the easiest of chores, most especially when you are late for an outing or engagement.

Sincerely it can be pretty hard to prevent the missing socks syndrome like a customer once said. Anyways, there are tips that can be used for storing and keeping baby/adult socks so that they are easy to find and grab.

Safety pin matching socks together before they go into the laundry. This way the socks’ mates stay together and can be put directly into the sock drawer safely pinned together.

To avoid missing socks pair, fold the socks so that one socks ends up in the other. This will keep pairs of socks together in the socks drawer.

Keep your socks together when washing and drying in the washing machine. The truth is that when you are careless about your socks you will spend more time looking for them.

The best thing you can do when you lose a sock is to create an orphanage for lost sock. Just in case you later find the other pair. When you find one solo, just store it in a separate place, hopefully it will be reunited with its lost brother or sister later.

Sometimes, socks slips between the drum of the washing machine and the wash basket and then gets trapped in the pump. A major reason why we lose our socks is because they get lost inside the washing machine, but when you pin them together you are good. Kanye West ripped into the Grammy’s album of the year-winner Beck in a rant backstage that suggested his stage-rush earlier in the evening was no joke.

“Beck needs to respect artistry, he should’ve given his award to Beyonce,” said Kanye in an interview with E! Online. Beck beat out Beyonce in the category, as well as Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Pharrell Williams. That apparently irked West who stepped onstage as Beck accepted the award in what appeared to be a joke that echoed his interruption of Taylor Swift in 2009 at the MTV Music awards.

“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more,” he said. “We tired of it. When you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft, and slapping people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music – you’re disrespectful to inspiration.”

West said he didn’t say anything on the show because he did not want to put his family or “clothing line” at risk, but added: “I’m going to fight for creativity.”

Highs & Lows of the 2015 Grammys

Have there ever been as many orchestras and choirs in one place as at this year’s Grammys? You half-expected to find Madonna’s red-robed, vaguely satanic-looking chorale rumbling with Sam Smith’s choir in the alley behind Staples Center after the show. Fortunately, some of the performers really did take us to church. Among the 2015 telecast’s best and weakest moments:

LOW: Madonna
At the moment when she could most use a turnaround, Madonna, who showed up on the red carpet in a racy, butt-barring ensemble, inexplicably turned in the most passive TV performance of her career. She took the “Lift me up” chorus of her new single “Living for Love” all too literally, as a coterie of dancers tossed her from person to person. It was lessreminiscent of the woman-handling “Material Girl” video than of medics gingerly handling someone fresh out of surgery — even though Madonna’s thigh muscles looked as powerful as ever. It was impressive, at least, that she managed to find that many of Maleficent’s nephews to join her backup dancing crew, and that they managed not to impale her.

Grammy Highs and Lows: Annie Lennox, Sam Smith Take America to Church; Madonna Doesn't

HIGH: Kristen Wiig, Maddie Ziegler, and (we think) Sia
Less a musical performance than performance art, this gonzo dance/mime version of “Chandelier” by the ex-SNL comedienne and the Dance Moms star — and maybe even Sia somewhere in there, too — made America do a collective spit-take. Whether you thought it was hysterical or ridiculously highfalutin’, it was just the wakeup call viewers needed after three hours of increasing drowsiness.

LOW: Ariana Grande
Girls don’t just want to have fun, after all. Grande set the overly sober tone for much of the telecast by bringing us down with an orchestrated “Little Bit of Your Heart” that seemed designed to establish her as a serious crooner. To paraphrase the late Lloyd Bentsen: We know Sam Smith. Sam Smith was a friend of ours. Ariana, you’re no Sam Smith… and shouldn’t need or want to be!

HIGH: Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige
Their duet of “Stay With Me” was about the umpteenth time we’d seen an orchestra and/or choir onstage during the evening, but in this case, the solemnity was for the right cause. Smith and Blige had such fantastic musical chemistry, we can only hope that this is the start of a long partnership for them, sad lyrics aside.

LOW: Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani
Maroon 5 has a terrific, upbeat, irresistibly disco-fied new single out (“Sugar”). Stefani is one of the most dynamic performers in pop. So, in keeping with the overly solemn tone of the evening, the Grammys decided we should hear these two dynamos do a perfunctory ballad.

HIGH: Usher and Stevie Wonder
This is the kind of homage at which the Grammys excel, when they’re on their game. Usher effortlessly nailed Wonder’s “If It’s Magic,” which also became a tribute to the secret life of harps. The appearance by the man himself on harmonica at the end of the tune was too quick and perfunctory for some fans, but we don’t blame them for saving the serious Stevie moments for the full-length tribute special that’s being filmed in L.A. later this week. Sometimes an exquisite cover by a single artist works better than a cluster-jam, anyway.

LOW: Imagine Dragons
OK, so we technically can’t blame the Grammys for this, since the live performance by the band from a Las Vegas stage was bought and paid for by a commercial sponsor. But the least Target could have done with such an anonymous performance would be to subtitle the name of the band along with a corporate hashtag, since we kept forgetting who was turning in this bland performance even after seeing the introduction.

HIGH: Kanye West and Beck
We were wondering when he’d finally get around to recreating his famous Taylor Swift stage-rush for laughs. Poor Beck seemed just as dazed as T-Swizzle was back in the day… although maybe not so much by Kanye’s antics as by the fact that probably not even his parents predicted him to beat both Smith and Beyoncé for Album of the Year.

LOW: Kanye West and darkness
His performance of “Only One” early in the telecast was not nearly as finely tuned as his bum-rushing-Beck gag. Why is he the last hip-hop guy around still Auto-Tuning the news? While he switched on the audio vocal processing for “Only One,” he failed to turn on the lights. That’s the kind of gambit that might work at his own shows, but it just left tens of millions of viewers frantically turning up the brightness controls on their remotes for no coherent reason.

HIGH: Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney
It seems we can’t make up our minds on Mr. West, but he gets a thumbs-up for two out of three appearances. “FourFiveSeconds” is hardly the best song he, Rihanna, or Macca have been associated with, but seeing these unlikely bedfellows jam it out acoustically, hootenanny-style, was a hoot.

LOW: Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett
It’s swell that Gaga wants to give Bennett a boost with her young audience, but there’s something about her camping and vamping it up on the old standards that almost feels like minstrelsy — even before she styled herself and acted like Mae West for her Grammy performance.

HIGH: Brandy Clark and Dwight Yoakam
There hasn’t been a better country ballad in years than “Hold My Hand” by Best New Artist nominee Brandy Clark. You could just about count the people who’ve ever heard the tune on a few thousand hands, so kudos to the Grammy producers for affording airtime to such a little-known, should-be classic… and for knowing that a harmony vocal by Yoakam would make it better still.

HIGH: Pharrell Williams
Williams beat Smith in a Pop category with a live version of “Happy,” so you could be cynical and imagine his umpteenth TV performance of the tune was a bid to win the category again with the same standard in 2016. But he managed to make this reprise different, not just because he’d traded in his Arby’s hat for shorts, but with a likably bizarre bit of introductory orchestration by Hans Zimmer and a “Hands up, don’t shoot” homage in the choreography.

HIGH: Common and John Legend
Also known as: Oscar rehearsal.

HIGH: Sam Smith
We could tell Smith was pacing himself with his succinct acceptance speeches over the course of the evening. But he managed to get off a zinger in each one, whether he was remembering a time when he “tried to lose weight and make awful music” or was offering thanks to the unrequited love who broke his heart “because you bought me four Grammys.” Requited-ness is so overrated!

International Tattoo Festival: Extreme Body Modification (Viewer Discretion)

Tattooed eyeballs, forked tongues and tunnelled flesh were on display at the Caracas International Tattoo Festival as body modification aficionados gathered for the annual event.

Reuters photographer Jorge Silva photographed some of the participants and asked them what inspired their interest in the art form.

“My motivation is the freedom to do with my body whatever I want,” said Carlos, pictured above. “Not everyone can enjoy this freedom.”

Tattoo and body modification artist Kala Kaiwi is a Guinness World Record holder for the largest non-surgically made stretch earlobes, which measure 109mm (4.3 inches) in diameter.

“I pride myself on constantly learning new techniques and procedures in order to be on the forefront of the modifications culture,” said Kaiwi, who began his career 20 years ago when he moved from Hawaii to Las Vegas.

Body modification artist Henry Rodriguez, also known as “Red Skull,” said he had his first tattoo when he was 12.

“I have always loved body modifications. Now I have a project: I want to be included in the Guinness World Records as the most modified man on Earth,” he said.

Luciel sticks out her bifid tongue as she poses for a portrait and says her motivation is to “break the laws of beauty.”

“I like to express genuineness, originality,” she said. “Women love to modify their bodies with breast and buttocks implants but nobody questions them. It’s widely accepted.”

“Vampire Woman,” a Mexican body modification and tattoo artist, is motivated by the drive to be different.

“I don’t want to be just another number. I’m an individualist,” she said. “I want to express freedom, beauty and tranquillity.”

Last year, I sat with my team and we decided on where the Skales brand is going. It has been about 10 months since I got a new team, and all hands have been on deck. We have worked and we can say that we are about to tick the final segment for our 12-month plan which is my debut album. According to Kim Kardashian, her adorable daughter North accidentally flushed her dad Kanye West’s cell phone down the toilet.

As the Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s star explained during an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, she first heard flushing before she rushed in and saw North standing next to the flowing toilet.

“I run in there and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute babe,’ to Kanye. ‘Didn’t she have your phone a second ago?'” Kim recalled, laughing. “The phone was in the toilet!… I put it in a bag of rice, [but] nothing worked.”

The incident left Kanye without a phone for a short time. Kim, however is prepared for mishaps like that. The 33-year-old celeb claimed that she owns three different phones. That way, she’s never stuck without being able to take a selfie.

In the lawsuit filed in New York district court Wednesday, Simonette DaCosta claims she worked for Carey and Cannon as a nanny, caring for the couple’s twins Monroe and Moroccan — but was fired after showing the tots too much attention. And as the suit paints things, Carey kept DaCosta pretty busy.

“Ms. Carey would often call Plaintiff at hours in the middle of the night and demand to be taken to her children or to be updated as to the status of her children,” said legal papers obtained by TheWrap. “Mrs. Carey would not tolerate any delay when she called and Plaintiff had to attend to her every demand, spontaneous or otherwise, whether called upon during the day or in the middle of the night,” the lawsuit reads.

That all changed, the lawsuit says, when “Mrs. Carey terminated Plaintiff after berating her for exhibiting too much affection towards her children.”

The entertainment industry is full of stars with unique names, including one of Hollywood’s most celebrated leading ladies, Keira Knightley. As it turns out, “Keira” was never supposed to be her name.

In an interview with Elle UK, the Oscar-nominated star of The Imitation Game revealed that her name is spelling error made by her mother when she was born.

“I was meant to be named ‘Kiera,’ after a Russian ice skater who was on the TV one day. My dad fancied her and nicked her name for me. But it was my mum who went to register my birth, and she accidentally spelled ‘ei’ instead of ‘ie’ because my mum’s crap at spelling,” the 29-year-old actress explained.

“Apparently, when she came back [my dad] said, ‘What the f*ck? You’ve spelt her name wrong!’ What were they going to do, though? Once it’s on the piece of paper, it’s on the piece of paper. And that’s me. A spelling error.”

Hopefully, the Begin Again star won’t make a similar mistake when she gives birth. Knightley announced in December that she and her husband, musician James Righton, are expecting their first child.

No vex, na my life and I dey rock-am anyhow, no homo. Some people dey form good Christians because dem wan go heaven, me I just dey denge dey pose because am living my own small heaven right here on this earth for this Nigeria.

I no wan wait till I die. Even some of my Muslim brothers wey wan fast track dem own dey even do suicide bombing. Na only Naija Christains wey dey fear death yet dem all wan go heaven. Haba. Most Nigerians who have heavily invested in their Christianity believe that the concept of any other faith should be considered false. So how do I start to speak to narrow-minded Christians to understand that Buddhism is a wholesome practice for everyone, even the Christians themselves?

Take some time out and research, go to google, you will for sure see so many books on the topic, where Buddhism and Christianity agree in philosophy; in fact, with some of the key factors of most world religions. Also, the best of the Bible and Buddhism both converge on the areas of ethics, kindness, giving, and love. Too many practitioners of all faiths focus on the rewards at the end of our journey, when the rewards and purpose are the journey itself according to the teaching of Buddha.

While I may not be a religious person, I believe in Jesus/Christianity, I do not deny it. While I do not believe in the afterlife as Christians do, if those who follow it embody the qualities of Jesus in the here and now, then I embrace their practice as successful and good. While Buddhism is a faith of self-realization in the practice of here and now.

Christianity is a practice for the afterlife of God’s revelation. No matter how my Naija Christian brothers dey see God, my own way different. I see our Creator as one that does not interfere with the world in which we live, but only touches the heart of man to let him know He (God) is there. It is up to man to make his volitional choices using his free will, and making his own happiness.

The story of Job tells of the story of a faithful man who is beset by all sorts of misfortune, but he “chooses” to keep his faith. While Jesus performed miracles and taught His Gospel, He always presented His parables as tools/models for His followers to make their own choices towards happiness. Buddha does the same as Jesus, but without the need to exclude the idea of other faiths. The Buddha said for us to always question, practice and see the truth by the fruits of our efforts. If a Christian can grow and develop his faith by adding the tools of the Buddha, then I see it as a damn good thing. I don find my direction to heaven, make you find ya own abegi.

Details emerged during the weekend regarding the prenuptial agreement between divorcing entertainers Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.

The document, said TMZ.com, specifies that five-time Grammy Award-winning singer Carey, 45, is worth $150 million and that singer-actor and “America’s Got Talent” host Cannon, 34, came into their 2008 marriage with less than $500,000. He has since earned millions of dollars independent of his estranged wife. TMZ said the document also contained a confidentiality clause, with a $250,000 penalty for Cannon should he violate it, and a $500,000 penalty for Carey.

Cannon had quietly filed divorce papers on Dec. 12 and the news did not become public until Friday, said TMZ.

Cannon reportedly had confirmed rumors of a pending divorce on Aug. 21, when the syndicated entertainment-news show “The Insider” quoted him saying, “There is trouble in paradise . . . We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

He denied this in a series of tweets on Sept. 3, writing that, “Because my family & I haven’t been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumours. For the record I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage,” adding that, ” ‘Trouble in Paradise’ is the dumbest phrase I’ve ever heard!”

Nigerian Music Industry: 2014 In Review

2014 has been a massive year in the music industry with great hits and lots of revelations. As for the friends in the industry, well… we’re proud of each and everyone of you but some of you need to chill on the hustle though. There were couple of tweet-fights. Stop acting desperate. It’s never that serious.

OK, let’s get back to business…

Omo Baba Olowo ( O.B.O ), the baddest, has been dynamic, hardworking and unique this year. He gave us a banger earlier this year followed by great hits that rocked the air waves. AYE, song of the year ( Headies, 2014) , produced by T Spize, was undoubtedly one of the best hits in 2014. It was a memorable year for Davido, as he scooped 22 awards in the year 2014. He plans to release his sophomore album April, 2015.

God bless Don Jazzy… he’s indeed an enigma. I’m loyal to him any day, any time but I pray Mavins would live up to its full potentials. The Mavins gave us major hits for the year – SURULERE, ADAOBI, DOROBUCCI, GENTLEMAN amongst many others, that rocked the country after which DOROBUCCI was awarded the pop single of the year ( Headies, 2014). Don Jazzy did it before with Mo’Hits. I believe he can do it again ”IDJA”, with the signing of Rookie of the year ( Headies, 2014), Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Aphro Di’ja…

Tuface has really chilled these days… been a family man ain’t easy talk less of been a multi-family man. Respect anyday, any time. Another Legend.

Shallah to Wizkid though… I believe the entire Starboy is on his shoulders and yes, he hasn’t failed us yet. Having dropped his second album AYO ( JOY) in 2014 with great collabos featuring top artistes, Wizkid should keep up the good work. 2015 promises to be a better year.

Banky W has always been a boss, give it to him. He gave us something we held on to – ( JAIYE ORI MI ) in the year 2014.

Skales, one of the major hit-makers for the year 2014 ( SHAKE BODY ). I pray for Skales and hope you guys would appreciate his hustle… that nigga is talented, don’t take that away from him.

Yeah, back to the street of Bariga …

The King Baddo, himself with the YBNL crew had a great 2014 and are still much in the game. They created SHOKI, they trended it and here it is, almost everybody is dancing it.

Olamide’s songs; AWON GOONS MI and STORY FOR GODS made our best naija songs for the year 2014. Kingin, as Olamide is mostly called, dropped his fourth album titled STREET O.T, which was among the best selling naija albums for the year 2014. Olamide revealed the sensational Shoki crooner, Lil Kesh through his record label, YBNL and he’s been doing good ever since.

Victor… the new year would reveal.

Have I said something about Dem Mama Records… Timaya wasn’t ommitted in the year 2014. He released some club bangers. He was also signed as MTN brand ambassador this year. Timaya was notably credited for the emergence of the Next Rated Artiste for the year (Headies 2014), Patoranking with his first official track, ALUBARIKA followed by major tracks like GIRLIE ft Tiwa Savage, HAPPY DAY.

Big ups to my brother, Sean Tizzle, he has kept the hustle real, releasing his debut album and some classic videos off the album. The album titled THE JOURNEY bagged the Best RnB album ( Headies, 2014 ) and it was dropped under his record label – Difference Entertainment – managed by the Real DTunes, a renowned producer in the industry.

I will try and study the Capital Hill family but I do believe they have potentials, funny thing is I always had my focus on Ms. Kedike, Chidinma and Phyno … Shout-out to the big boss, iLLBliss. ALOBAM !

A few talents came out strong in 2014. Runtown ( GALLARDO ), Korede Bello, Pepenazi, Orezi ( YOU GARRIT ) especially. God bless your hustle hommies.

Tabloid Compares Solange Knowles’s Hair to a Dog’s Fur

In a recent issue of In Touch Weekly, a feature called “Double Creature” compared Solange Knowles to a dog. The reader-submitted blurb reads, “Yorkipoo Jackie is ‘basically twinsies’ with Beyoncé’s sis, says the 5-year-old pup’s owner, Brian Murray Jr. ‘They rock the same hairdo and he’s very loyal to his…’”

The publication likening a woman choosing to wear her hair naturally to a dog has outraged many, calling the association ignorant and racist. “[It’s] a sobering reminder of the resistance some black women face when they choose to rock their natural hair unapologetically,“ Leila Noelliste, the creator of blackgirllonghair.com, writes on the site. She notes that the offensive photo is especially disconcerting considering the positive press attention Knowles received surrounding the afro style the singer wore to her recent wedding.

Patrice Grell Yursik, founder of the blog Afrobella, tells Yahoo Style that while she thinks that the article was an attempt to be cute, it’s actually a total fail. “It’s obviously offensive to compare a woman of color’s natural hair to a dog’s fur,” she says. “Even though this was reader submitted, I think it was ignorant and ill advised of In Touch to publish it.”

In a statement, the magazine explains that they publish a weekly story called “Animal Overload,” including a regular column called “Double Creature.” It insists that the recurring series is meant to be fun and each one incorporates a diverse selection of both people and pets. “In response to recent articles printed, we want to make it clear that there was never any intent to be insensitive and no harm was meant towards anyone.”

Those that choose not to style their hair with relaxers, or in a traditional way, have continuously received negative attention for their look. When Blue Ivy Knowles, Solange’s niece, appeared at the Video Music Awards this summer, the 2-year-old was condemned for having “unkempt” and “dry” hair. During Gabby Douglas’s stint at the London Olympics, critics called the then 16-year-old’s chemically straightened ponytail a supposed failure to properly “represent” the African American community.

But while this continuous disparagement is obviously maddening, Petra, a writer for blackhairinformation.com, notes: “People say crazy stuff all the time about our hair and general appearance, we are used to it, we depend on each other to know what is right, what is mediocre and what is down right wrong to say,”

Supermodel Joins Bill Cosby Drugged List, Says Many Are Yet to Speak Out

Supermodel Beverly Johnson is the latest woman to come forward with allegations against comedian Bill Cosby.

In an exclusive story penned for VanityFair.com, Johnson — most notable for being the first black model to ever appear on the cover of American Vogue in 1974 — writes for the first time about her alleged experience being drugged by Bill Cosby in 1986.

Johnson, now 62, says she first came into contact with Cosby when an agent told her that the comedian wanted her to audition for a role on The Cosby Show. She says she went to a taping of the show, and then talked with him in his office afterwards about the troubles she had in her previous marriage, and where she wanted to go in her career moving forward. After going to a second taping — this time with her daughter in tow — the two got a tour of Cosby’s New York Brownstone.

“Looking back, that first invite from Cosby to his home seems like part of a perfectly laid out plan, a way to make me feel secure with him at all times,” she says. “It worked like a charm.”

Johnson says she came back to Cosby’s house a few days later to read for the Cosby Showpart they initially discussed, during which he wanted her to “pretend to be drunk” to see how she handled various scenes. She alleges that he insisted she drink a cappuccino from his espresso machine, even when she initially refused. She alleges that he drugged her though the coffee drink.

“Now let me explain this: I was a top model during the 70s, a period when drugs flowed at parties and photo shoots like bottled water at a health spa,” she discloses. “I’d had my fun and experimented with my fair share of mood enhancers. I knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I’d been drugged — and drugged good.”

“My head became woozy, my speech became slurred, and the room began to spin nonstop,” she alleges. “He put his hands around my waist, and I managed to put my hand on his shoulder in order to steady myself. As I felt my body go completely limp, my brain switched into automatic-survival mode. That meant making sure Cosby understood that I knew exactly what was happening at that very moment.”

She lashed out by telling him, “You are a motherf*cker aren’t you?” Johnson says that after repeatedly calling Cosby a “motherf*cker,” he became so angry that he dragged her down the stairs and shoved her into a taxi cab.

“The next day I woke up in my own bed after falling into a deep sleep that lasted most of the day,” she says. “I had no memory of how I got into my apartment or into my bed, though most likely my doorman helped me out. I sat in there still stunned by what happened the night before, confused and devastated by the idea that someone I admired so much had tried to take advantage of me, and used drugs to do so. Had I done something to encourage his actions?”

Deciding to confront Cosby shortly about the incident, she says she dialed the private number he gave her, but was shocked when his wife Camille picked up. She claims Camille told her it was “very late” — 11 p.m. — and that the two were in bed together.

Johnson says she never called back. “At a certain moment it became clear that I would be fighting a losing battle with a powerful man so callous he not only drugged me, but he also gave me the number to the bedroom he shared with his wife,” she explains. “How could I fight someone that boldly arrogant and out of touch? In the end, just like the other women, I had too much to lose to go after Bill Cosby. I had a career that would no doubt take a huge hit if I went public with my story and I certainly couldn’t afford that after my costly divorce and ongoing court fees.”

About her decision to previously stay silent as more women began to come forward with sexual assault allegations against Cosby, she says the “plight of the black male” — referencing the recent headline-making cases of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner — made her hesitant to tell her story.

Miss Best Buttocks Runner up Hospitalised for Surgical Complications

A 27-year-old Brazilian reality TV star who was runner-up in a best-buttocks competition has been hospitalized with complications from a cosmetic procedure to enlarge her thighs.

The Conceicao Hospital Group in the southern city of Porto Alegre said Wednesday that Andressa Urach had an infection in her thighs after receiving under-skin injections of a substance to increase volume in the upper legs. She was hospitalized Monday evening.

Urach earlier had been sedated. But the group said in a statement Wednesday that she later woke up and was taken off a respirator.

She underwent two procedures at the hospital to drain a substance called aquagel that is used in Brazil as an alternative to cosmetic implants.

Urach was runner up in Brazil’s 2012 “Miss Bumbum” contest celebrating shapely bottoms.

British crooner and breakout star Sam Smith made headlines earlier this year when he publicly came out, revealing that much of his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, was about another man. But only recently has the 22-year-old singer discussed coming out at length and why he felt it was important to do it so early in his career.

American actress,Scarlett Johansson, secretly weds French journalist Romain Dauriac in a hush-hush ceremony. A clerk for Granite County confirms to The Insider With Yahoo that the couple married Oct. 1 in Philipsburg, Montana.

A rep for Johansson declined to comment. Page Six reported over the weekend that Scarlett and Romain “were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter. They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy.”

The 30-year-old actress had the rumor mill buzzing that she may have tied the knot after stepping out in New York City on Nov. 18 with a new band on that finger. Next to her Art Deco engagment sparkler was a simple, thin gold ring.

Dauriac popped the question in August 2013 after nine months of dating, and Scarlett showed off her vintage ring the following month at the Venice Film Festival. Judging from past comments made by the actress, she was no bridezilla ahead of her nuptials. “Oh, I don’t plan anything,” Scarlett told Access Hollywood in March. “I’m terrible at planning. Yeah, I’m not gonna plan anything — I like to wing it!”

Around the same time, it was revealed that the couple was also expecting their first child together. Scarlett and Romain welcomed a healthy baby girl, Rose, in September. The actress never addressed her pregnancy; however, in the May issue of Vanity Fair the she did gush about her fiancé.

“It is [easier being with someone who isn’t famous],” she said, “but it’s more than that. We do different things. He’s in the whole art-scene world. In fact, not only were the two apart for Thanksgiving, Kim made it very clear that Kanye is the outsider now as she quietly makes plans for a future without the rapper. Kim and North were at Khloe’s while Kanye was in his favorite place…Paris. Kim tweeted, “Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so thankful to have spent the day with my whole family over at Khloe’s house today! Khloe cooked so much yummy food!” Notice the words “whole family” in that post? No mention of her missing hubby, then a very clear point made about who Kim considers her family. I guess that whole Kanye/daughter/marriage thing doesn’t constitute a “family” in Kim’s eyes. Kim knew she was sending a very clear message to fans when sending that tweet.

It wasn’t just Kim who made the decision to be apart. Kanye has been complaining about Kris nonstop to Kim and she cannot take much more. He criticizes Kim for still letting Kris Jenner run the show, claiming she has too much power. Kim needs Kris in her corner, however, because Kris will help with damage control after the divorce. Kanye wasn’t too excited about being with Kris and the family, so he went to his favorite retreat—Paris—to be with friends. No concert, no paid obligation. He was eating dinner in a restaurant with friends in Paris on Thanksgiving. Of course, if the couple has the means to fly to one another to be together if they’d have wanted to, but that simply was not the case. Kim didn’t want to be in Paris and was not willing to budge. Kanye, on the other hand, purposely fled to Paris after learning of Kim kardashian’s dalliances in Dubai after being caught with Tyrese Gibson. He didn’t want to be around and insisted he wanted some space. Though he though Kim may follow, she opted to stay with her “whole family.”

While the “friends” Kanye shared the special holiday with have not been disclosed, many believe one guest in attendance was Kanye’s reported secret lover, designer Riccardo Tisci. Kanye has long battled rumors of being gay and having had a sexual relationship with Tisci. The fact that the two wore matching shirts to Tisci’s recent 40^thbirthday party, may be another telling sign that the two are a little too close for comfort. How many heterosexual men do you know who plan to wear matching shirts to a birthday party? A little odd.

After the Kim and Tyrese encounter, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian each talking to their exes, Kim’s visit to divorce attorney Laura Wasser, and now spending Thanksgiving apart—it is only a matter of time before these two split for good.

Miley Cyrus is reportedly pregnant and preparing to become a mom at 22 with new boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger.

A source indicated that Miley Cyrus found out she is pregnant close to a month ago, though she has kept the news as private as possible.

“In late October, she mentioned that her period was late,” a source told Life & Style. “She took two pregnancy tests. One came back negative — and the other came back positive. Friends are convinced she’s in the early stages of pregnancy.”

The pop star has been dating Schwarzenegger — the son of Arnold and Maria Shriver — for a little while now. Sources say they have actually been dating for several months before going public with their relationship.

If Miley Cyrus is pregnant, she appears to be getting a lot of support from her new boyfriend. Miley and Patrick were spotted at a friend’s wedding getting close in a photo booth, with Patrick even playfully licking Miley. Sources say that Patrick Schwarzenegger has also turned his skeptical parents on to the idea of him getting serious with Miley.

“Patrick has done a marvelous job in turning Maria from being violently opposed to now saying she’s a sweet girl and she was really mistaken from not knowing her and only knowing about her from her press,” a source said.

Angelina Jolie: ‘I’m Going to Be a Better Wife’

Maybe Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are a little bit like us after all… they apparently have relationship growing pains just like any other couple.

In an interview with Tom Brokaw that aired Tuesday on the Today show, Jolie admitted that despite being together for a decade, her and Brad Pitt’s relationship changed after marriage.

“It did change,” the 39-year-old actress said. “We were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation, we got married with our [six] children and they were part of the ceremony.”

Angelina continued, “It was all of us agreeing to be together and to just commit to this life together. Not because we had to… because we were absolutely sure we felt that much of a family.”

The Unbroken director confessed that she has set some goals for herself since tying the knot.

“We have more moments where I say, ‘I’m going to be a better wife,'” the Oscar winner explained. “‘I’m going to learn to cook.’ and [Brad] says, ‘Oh, honey, know what you’re good at.’ … But I do like, ‘No, no, no, I’m going to get this wife thing down.’ He knows my limitations and where I’m a good wife and a good mom.”

“[Shooting ‘By the Sea’] felt like the appropriate thing to do on our honeymoon,” she chuckled while referencing the movie in which they play an unhappily married couple. “We wanted to try things; we wanted to push each other; we wanted to be artists and see what we could make.”

As for whether they artistically saw eye to eye, Angelina admitted, “I’m sure I had many moments with the actor, and I’m sure he had many moments with the director.”

A few tabloids are taking comments like that one a step further. This week In Touch published pictures of a purported “explosive fight” — otherwise known as a game of picture assumption — between Brad and Angelina that took place on Nov.17 on the terrace of their suite at the InterContinental Sydney hotel in Australia.

Rick Ross Speaks on Weight Loss & Exercise, Drinks Less Alcohol…

Rick Ross had two seizures in a single day, sending him to the hospital three years ago.

Health didn’t concern the 300-pound rapper then, but he’s shed nearly 100 pounds in the last seven months by eating healthier foods and embracing a high-intensity workout plan. Ross, 37 has given up a few things since changing his lifestyle.

First, the rapper stopped drinking soda, unless it’s diet. He also said it’s better to eat heavier meals earlier in the day. As a result, he said he’s able to burn calories faster. “I used to eat big meals at 2 a.m. and base it on my schedule,” he said. “But I don’t do that no more.”

Ross said you should drink water throughout the day. He also said to treat yourself when you work hard. “I just went to Prime 112 (in Miami) the other night, and I had some fried Oreos and fried velvet cake,” he said. “I treated myself. You wake up in the morning, you might regret it. But you got to get back to work.”

Ross credits a CrossFit program introduced to him by Reebok last year — calling it “Ross Fit” — with helping him lose weight. It’s a highly active workout plan where Ross completes a series of exercises within a 20-minute span, including pushups, sit-ups, boxing, squat jumps and Olympic-style weightlifting.

“CrossFit overall is more of an intense workout,” he said. “So instead of doing 20 minutes on the treadmill, you’ll (do) a 20-minute CrossFit workout and you’ll be not only building your endurance, but also muscle simultaneously.” Ross said the number of people who work out with him has grown from four to 20, including hitmaker DJ Khaled and producer E Class. Enduring a tough workout isn’t foreign to Ross, who played offensive line at Albany State University in Georgia.

Ross stopped eating certain foods such as bread, white rice and fish fillets, and began drinking less alcohol. But he hasn’t eliminated one of his favorite foods: lemon pepper wings.

The rapper, who owns nine Wingstop franchises around the country, said he stops by the restaurant at least twice a week when he’s in town. He’s trying to keep a good balance, though, by eating foods like Branzino and fruits such as pears. “I’m not under no stress of what I’m eating,” he said. “There are no restrictions. I’m not trying to make a particular weight. I’m just working out and doing what’s best for Rozay.”

Queen Latifah’s Show Cancelled

The Queen Latifah Show has been canceled after two seasons, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The daytime talk show hosted by Latifah (real name Dana Owens) will air new episodes through March before going off the air for good. “We want to thank Dana, the producers and the entire staff of The Queen Latifah Show for creating a program that we are all very proud of,” Sony Television Pictures, which distributed the show, said in a statement. “Thank you also to our terrific station partners and advertisers who supported the show.”

The rapper and Oscar-nominated actress, 44, confirmed the news in a lengthy letter to herself and her crew posted on her Facebook page. “Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running. Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed ‘true grit’!” she wrote. “Your family, partners, staff and crew showed up with you every step of the way. Be very proud of that! Not everyone can say the same. You can also say you have been a blessing to and been blessed by amazing guests and incredible audiences for this show. We truly changed people’s lives for the better.”

“Stay positive, stay strong and most importantly, stay open… There is so much more God has in store,” Latifah continued. “P.S. This letter is for me, my staff, my crew, and everyone who was by my side for this incredible journey. The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome … believe in yourself and continue to fly.”

This marked Latifah’s second stab at daytime TV. Her first self-titled talk show debuted in syndication in 1999 and ran through August 2001.

Men Find Women Sexier When They’re Wearing Heels, According to Science

According to research published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, men, apparently, find women to be more attractive when they’re wearing high heels.

“Women’s shoe heel size exerts a powerful effect on men’s behavior,” author Nicholas Guéguen of the Université de Bretagne-Sud in France said. By observing the behavior of 90 randomly selected male study participants between the ages of 25 and 50 in a series of experiments, Guéguen found that men are more willing to help and hit on ladies wearing heels than those in sensible shoes.

In one test, Guéguen watched what happened when a 19-year-old female asked a passerby of the opposite sex while wearing three different types of shoes — once in black flat shoes, black medium-heeled shoes (2 in.), and black high heeled shoes (3.5 in.) — to complete a survey. More men were willing to stop and answer questions when the 19-year-old was wearing the highest-heeled shoes. In another analysis, she acted like a damsel in distress, dropped a glove, and watched as more men helped her when she was wearing higher shoes. In the third experiment, researchers tallied how many men approached a group of ladies who wore heels of various sizes. The results: Guys initiated conversation with those in stilettos much quicker than they did with those wearing flatter shoes.

Based on the outcomes, the number of men who responded to women wearing the highest heels doubled compared to when they responded (or didn’t respond) to women wearing the lowest heel height. “The results showed that high heels were associated with greater sexiness, overall physical attractiveness, breast attractiveness, beauty, attractiveness to other men, and willingness for a date.”

Guéguen speculates that the media’s sanctification of women in stilettos has something to do with why men have started to draw the association between those sporting high shoes and a woman’s sexual intent.

Andele Lara, a student from Boston, Massachusetts, 22, is Rihanna’s look alike.

She’s frequently mistaken for the sexy pop star, but as a kid Lara wasn’t always so keen on her looks. “Growing up, I was a very shy girl,” Lara told the Daily Mail. “I was known as the skinny girl with the big forehead.” But after experimenting with her hair and swapping her school uniform for more trendy clothes, her classmates started noticing her likeness to the Barbadian singer with the hit song “Umbrella” on the radio. “The comments started in my sophomore year. My friend had a magazine with Rihanna on the cover. He held it up to my face and was like, ‘You look like her!’”

As Ri-Ri rose to fame, Lara got increasing attention from strangers seeking photos and autographs. Nowadays she’s mobbed by screaming fans and sought after by brands interested in capitalizing on her similar appearance. She says she’s paid $20,000 by clothing companies to endorse their products. She’s also landed contracts to promote sneakers, mascara, and hair accessories with very little effort. “I know I could happily give up my part-time job and studies to have a career as a Rihanna lookalike,” Lara told the Daily Mail.

While some attention has been unwanted—Lara says there have been creepy situations where she’s followed to work—overall she loves pretending to be the star for fans, saying it makes their day to think they just met a celebrity. Once she was in the same club as Chris Brown so everyone assumed she was Rihanna. Lara says she gets the most attention when she hits the clubs with men buying her drinks and clamoring to get her number.

Obviously a big fan of the singer, Lara can’t sing a note herself. She has yet to meet her in person but did have one run-in on social media. Once a fan unknowingly posted an image of Lara on Instagram with the caption, “Rare pic of Rihanna.” Ri-Ri herself commented on it “OH?!” After hundreds of followers and some nasty comments flooded Lara’s Instagram feed, she decided to make all her social accounts private. And like any fan she’s still dying to pose with the real star: “I would love to meet Ri-Ri and take a selfie with her!”
