Christened  Tola Omoniyi, this stylish, handsome young Nigerian is so so good on the microphone they call him The Spice on the Mic but he is better known to most of his fans as Toliano. If you have ever been to the Gateway State i.e. Ogun State, you sure could not have missed his voice on easily the best and most listened-to radio station in the state Rock City FM.

Toliano gets the groove on, sets the ball rolling and it does not matter whether it is the morning sports’ report, the afternoon drive or some of those impromptu voice-dropping on the mic. My favourite of his radio programmes had to be the Sunday morning Praise World which is also the name of his company. Toliano sets your spirit sailing and your soul soaring on Sunday you can’t but feel the Spirit, as in really feel the Spirit o. Irrespective of what programme it is though, Toliano is The MIC, say The Man In Charge.

The only male and 3rd of  three children. Tola started up in the midst of ladies and it is no wonder a lot of them are seen relaxed around him. It comes naturally you’d think. He attended so many primary and secondary schools I really do not have space to name but one, African Church Model College Ifako, Lagos. He was also a student of FRCN’s training school where he went to add the much needed professional touch to his undoubted speaking ability. I was in the studio with Toliano once, when in a moment of playing around with the mic and in a moment of freestyle frenzy, the young man ended up churning out a dance-hall track that got me nodding and tapping. The first time I really knew him was when I saw him perform at a talents’ programme at the Father’s House in Abeokuta in 2005. He is now an associate pastor there.

Though well and deep into the entertainment thingy, his head is well above the tide as he does not get involved in the drugs, cigarettes and alcohol as it is with most entertainers. As for him and women, I really don’t know o but the last time I checked he had a girl friend. I will check again to get you updated on that especially all you single ladies .lol. My guy has done stuffs with the Roof Top MCs and a couple of other cats I can’t remember now plus Praise World , Toliano’s company organisation has a top-notch CD out now that’s a compilation of some of the best contemporary gospel tracks.

Omojuwa.com celebrates this young Nigerian , who despite his relatively humble background has established a name for himself in his chosen field. A whole lot of you (especially those in the diaspora)  may not know him yet but this last statement will not hold in a couple of years time because Tola Omoniyi has got a voice the world will pay to listen to, he has got a style swagger cannot step to.
