An Investigative committee set up by the Kano state chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has summoned the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to appear before it on March 3, 2017.
According to the letter of summon dated 19th February, 2017, signed by chairman of the committee, Surveyor Muhammad Nadu Yahaya, Kwankwaso will face the committee at the APC’s state secretariat along Maiduguri road in the state metropolis.
The letter, a copy obtained by Daily Trust, indicated that Kwankwaso was expected to explain why his supporters attempted to gatecrash into Katsina government house, venue of APC’s zonal meeting when the meeting was in progress.
The letter reads in part: “The committee is inviting Senator Kwankwaso to appear before it to explain why he organized a rally in Katsina state on 29th January 2017 when the APC leaders were holding zonal meeting in the state.
