National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, yesterday urged Ondo State governor-elect Rotimi Akeredolu to make the payment of workers’ salaries his priority on resumption of office.
Workers in the state have not been paid their monthly salaries for seven months.
Odigie-Oyegun, who spoke when Akeredolu visited the party’s national secretariat to show him his certificate of return, said making payment of salaries his first priority would endear Akeredolu to the people.
“People who work deserve their pay and I hope that would be your first priority,” he said.
