Kanye West Surpasses Michael Jackson With 40th Top 40 Hit

Kanye West enters the top ten of male artists with the most visits to the Top 40.

This past week, ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part” feat. Kanye West rose from #42 to #40 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song marked ScHoolboy’s second trip into the top 40.

For Kanye, the occasion was slightly more meaningful; the song marked his 40th trip into the top 40, vaulting him past Michael Jackson and Frankie Valli (39 apiece).

Kanye now has the tenth most top 40 records by a male artist since Billboard launched the Hot 100 in 1958. Also in the top 10: Lil Wayne, Drake, Jay Z, and Chris Brown. (Wayne is second all-time. Weezy!!!!)
