The Power of Stories.  

Story­ telling is a practice employed by the wisest of men to convey their message. I am of the
opinion that stories are more useful than principles? for while principles are like sign posts,
stories are like maps. Our Jesus told stories, short stories, which he called parables. And oh,
how Jesus started His stories:

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow…” (Mark 4:3)?

“In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man…” (Luke 18:2).

Christ’s stories always started with words that demanded attention and ended with words that
deserved distinction.

While we strive to attain  perfection in story ­telling like Christ, however, we must not fail to tell our
stories daily (in anyway we can) to everyone who is willing to listen. The Samaritan woman told
her story to men in her city. And although we do not know all words of the story she told the
men, we know she said “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did” (John 4:29). We also
know that the men of the city were moved by her story and went out to meet Jesus, and
believed (vv. 30, 39).

I want to ask you, what is your story? Tell that story today!  Lest in an endless quest to find the
perfect words, you never tell that story that could change a life, and transform your world.
