Edo Police Command Gets New Spokesman

A new Public Relations Officer has been appointed for the Edo State Police Command. He is Stanley Osifo, a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The State Police Commissioner, Chris Ezike, announced the appointment of Osifo as PRO of the Command in a press statement signed by Emmanuel Aina, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, and released to journalists in Benin.

“DSP Osifo is coming on board to facilitate and consolidate on the command’s new paradigm shift of continuous engagement and partnership with Edo state community,” Ezike said in the statement.

Osifo who’s appointment takes immediate effect, replaces Mr. Stephen Onwochei, who has now been redeployed as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ekiadolor.

Until his appointment, Osifo was the Staff Officer to the Commissioner and the Officer in charge, conflict Resolution Unit of the Command.

The new PPRO who had also served as the Divisional Police Officer at Ologbo and Okpella in Edo State, holds a Bsc. (Hons) degree in Political Science and a Master degree in Public Administration, both from University of Benin.
