As President Muhammadu Buhari’s much-awaited ministerial list is being expected any moment from now, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has maintained a sealed lip regarding its inputs even as it insisted that it will not comment on the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
The position of the party was announced by the APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, while addressing journalists shortly after an emergency meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at its national headquarters in Abuja, yesterday.
When asked to explain the party’s contributions to the list of ministers, Oyegun said: “We know that the president will do what he needs to do. What happen or did not happen between us and the President is a matter for the party as a family. It is a family affair, but he will do what he needs to do, when he needs to do it. You can trust him on that.”
