Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has dispelled rumours that workers of the state who have been owed salaries for the past eight months will have to present their primary school certificate as part as a staff audit process that will make them eligible to receive the salaries owed.
In a twitter chat with Japheth Omojuwa, Aregbesola said the workers will be paid before the end of the month and they will not need to present primary school certificates before they get their money.
The governor said he personally shared in the pains the workers had gone through and assured them that the storm was over.
He said the state had started a new era of development, progress, transformation and everlasting peace.
He said, “By the grace of God, the state will come out again, we will pay workers their salary before the Sallah celebration. Our government is one that is committed to workers’ welfare”.
