One of Nigeria’s prominent Banks, Diamond Bank Plc has tendered an apology to erstwhile member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu federal constituency, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, for publishing her name as one of the debtors of the bank.

In an apology published in a national newspaper, the bank referred to the publication where it listed her name as one of the delinquent debtor customers (Thriller Endeavours Ltd), including the name of Abike Dabiri as its director, and tendered an unreserved apology.

The legislator had earlier taken to her Twitter handle to deny being indebted to any bank as the media had initially speculated. She went further by slamming the bank with a libel suit.
