Madonna: 'I'm Not Part Of The Illuminati, But I Know Who They Are'

In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Madonna has revealed that her leaked song Illuminati is not an admission that she belongs to the notorious secret society, but the Material Girl confessed she does know who the real members are. Madonna worked with Kanye West on the track, who headed up production duties.

The singer recorded the new track Illuminati for her upcoming 13^th studio album Rebel Heart,which is out on March 9. Madonna has worked with many artists on her upcoming album, among the artists and producers are Nicki Minaj, Nas, Chance The Rapper, Avicii and Diplo.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, she discusses the mysterious organisation behind the song: “The real Illuminati were a group of scientists, artists, philosophers, writers, who came about in what is referred to as the Age of Enlightenment, after the Dark Ages, when there was no writing and no art and no creativity and no spirituality, and life was really at a standstill.

“Of course they were powerful, because they influenced people. But their goal was to inspire and enlighten”

“People often accuse me of being a member of the Illuminati. The thing is… I know who the real Illuminati are and I know where that word comes from,” Madonna explained.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is part of a major publicity stunt to promote the album. If you recall, Madonna was criticised after she photoshopped images of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Bob Marley on her Twitter account, in order to promote Rebel Heart. We will have to wait and see if this pays off when the album is released in March.
