Those Opposing Mu’azu Are Moles – Ekanem

Chairman of South-South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Sunday Ekanem, has stated that those who are opposing Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu as chairman of PDP are moles, who want to cause disaffection within the party.

He said though the constitution made provision for aggrieved members to go to court; adding that for anyone to wait for almost one year before taking an action after his removal is an indication that some people are out to cause problem in the party.

“I don’t see how the people will succeed because the party has procedure in doing things. Any appointment or decision that is ratified by the National Executive Council (NEC) stands,“ he said.

Ekanem, who is a member of Lagos State PDP caucus, further stated that PDP has effective machinery for managing crisis and would settle the matter without affecting the fortunes of the party in the next elections..

He urged members of party to be committed to the vision and principle of the party and not allow themselves to be used by agents of destabilisation.

On Lagos PDP, Ekanem said the party is well positioned to win the next governorship election in the state. “Now is the time for PDP to win the election in Lagos State and no opposition will derail the focus of the party this time,” he said.
