There is no future without a past, just as there can be no present without a past. When I look down memory lane, I tend to view a bright future myself; a future that is for better than my humble background. It is unarguable that if a man sets out on a journey without having an outline of activities, he will definitely achieve nothing because a man who fails to plan, no doubt, plans to fails.
If I must make a difference in life, then, I must have a blue print of actions. Of all that I will set for myself, I want to use education as the trigger factor. I wish to be, not just an educated person, but a graduate of note. This cannot be made without academic hardwork. There is no genius without hardwork, I know I don’t want to be tagged has failure because failure is an orphan while success has everybody as her relations.
To make successful being, I must believe in “I” that is in “me” I must also adopt the principle of “I CAN”. Once I take this as my watchwood, then, I will go places. In life, if you believe you can or you cannot, you are right. So, I will be right always as long as I believe I can. If I upload this principle, then, my future will be mine. My future will not be determined by expectations, pressure or society. It will be unmatched by anyone’s I have ever known. It will be written in the golden books of great hero’s. My future will be everything that I want I want it to be, and not what anyone else wants it to be. It will be a wonderfully positive, uniquely happy, fun, glorious and blessings to generations unborn. It will definitely outline the personality that I am; the best that I have to offer the world.
As an honest being, a determined and hardworking creature, I see in myself this future that I will earn what is due to me and not what I get by all means. I will not be satisfied until I achieve what I deserve. I will be the wave of my future and make changes to what I don’t believe in, especially, what does not favour my fellow man. To make the positive changes feasible, I will make sure the change start from me.
I have come to realize that I cannot be a second class citizen; only the best is good for me. To this effect, I will always strive to be the best in all my daily deeds. I will also learn to say sorry when I am sincerely wrong. Afterall, only mature people say “sorry” when they are wrong. I will not fail to motivate and inspire others to do what seems impossible for them.
Not forgetting the fact that God is the almighty, I will leave all glory to Him. I will serve Him as if nothing else exists. I will be faithful to his commandments and adhere to his teachings. As a family man, I will instil the fear of God in the hearts of His fruits in my life. I will trust God and by extension, trust my instinct. I will consult Him before taking decisions and I will follow my mind after that, knowing full well that God is in charge. To further leave everything to God, I will never doubt my dreams, I will never make myself vulnerable to others. Every decision I take will come from my best learning pocket of experiences. I will love, be happy and never lose sight of the fact that the future is mine and that I must fulfil what I am out to fulfil.
There is no success without pains. I knows that each day will come with its challenges, but I will always have my standing principle in mind. “I am the wave of my future”. With this, my victory will be as certain as the rising of the sun because it is the same supernatural law, the same supreme being that ordained the sun to rise and set has ordained it that I be a man of substance.
To drive this nail home, I am not unaware that I need sound education. I will not just go to school, I will make sure I acquire an all round education that takes care of the academic, moral, economic, social-political, and religions aspects of human experience, because the government of nowadays, even as a graduate, they have nothing to render us. After this is done, I will seek a place, just a place to stand and I will move the world.
