#BringBackOurGirls: Abducted Nigerian School Girls Released, In Army Custody, Says Military Spokesperson

Nigeria’s Defence Spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, has confirmed that some of the abducted Chibok Girls have been released, some 162 days since they abducted while writing examinations at Chibok, Borno State, northeast of Nigeria. The spokesman would not give more details but says there are efforts to get the other girls released. Two Toyota buses were reportedly loaded with the girls and driven into the Maimalari Barracks, the HQ 7th Division of the Nigerian Army, in Maiduguri. It has not yet been established whether this release was as a result of a negotiation between the Nigerian government and the abductors of the girls, Boko Haram. Details later.
