That the strike has been called off is no longer news. What is important is that we have all learnt lessons from it and that the President was compelled to make some concessions. In other words he bowed to the will of the people even though he may not have gone as far as some of us wanted. That is the beauty of democracy.
It is time for us to build bridges, to come back together as a nation, to heal the wounds of the last few weeks and to collectively face the challenge of Boko Haram and all those who seek to divide our nation on religious and ethnic lines.
I commend the members of Occupy Nigeria, the NLC and the people of Nigeria for a fight well fought and I commend the President and the government for getting off their high horse and pulling us back from the brink. That is what we expect from them. I do however regret and condemn the killings and the deployment of troops in Lagos, Abuja and some other parts of the country.
My conclusion and my position is this- it is time for us to drop the anger and the hurt, to sheath our swords and to try to move on and forge ahead as a nation. Let us join hands with one another, come together and do precisely that. As long as we have a government that is sensitive to what people want, think or say and that respect the rights of the people there is still hope for tomorrow. God bless Nigeria.

He is still a PDP what do u expect him to say? As for me the fight has just begun
Fani Kayode as always being a thief and a controversial guy plus a pathetic liar and a traitor. We just start the fight and it continues . OccupyNigeria continues
We just getting started.fani kayode should go fuck himself..we will use this disappointment from Labour as energy to continue to organize,to plan,to learn to widen relationships.#RevolutionNigeria continues
He’s just a bastard,looking for cheap popularity.ako yen je
How do you please nigerians..?.. Humans actually.. I have no love for Fani Kayode nor Hat either but what is written up here is on point.. We are so good at taking sides which prevents us from seeing things rationally… Is it the Elrufai that is a fine gentleman with consistency in his change of position and stance.. I support OccupyNigeria the battle has just begun and the true test of this battle will be at 2015 elections..if they win again is the true measure of this battle and we would have failed
how can u say this is a government that cares for our human rights of the people, and they are deploying army officials with AKA47′s and war tankers on them…. sad dat all hope seems lost.
During d strike he looked 4 cheap popularity n he got it. That’s a enough,he shouldn’t do or say anything that will hurt us more…chief femi fani kayode go back 2 ur house…we know where u stood before & now…
We thank the Almighty for His guidance and protection so far. For those who loose there lives during the struggle, may their souls rest in perfect peace. For Fani Kayode, let him stop looking for cheap popularity. The PDP has used and dumped you. QED.
Going forward, efforts should be geard toward success in the following areas; (1)Security, (2)Turn around maintanace of our refinaries to work to full capacity, (3) Cut down of wasteful government spendings, (4) And most imprtantaly, the unity exhibited by Nigerians during the crisis should be highly maintained.
well to me what he said is not out of point.lets rally round again n pressurised these politicians to denounce boko harm bks im telling u this bh issue is purely political n conspiratory.d elites never want us(masses) to unite so they found few miscreants n give them name to look as if it is regional or religious.d nxt item on our agenda shld be #occupy bh political party.
I wonder when figures like fani kayode became heroes after all their terrible antecedents. Na wa o !!!
F`ck Femi Fani-Kayode
The price of fuel is still 50% higher than Dec 31 2011
The corrupt leadership of the labour union made a deal with the corrupt government and the corrupt and or obviously insane fani-kayode talks about government making concessions. Calling a 50 % increase in fuel prices a concession should lead to a visit by some health proffesionals
A government that sent the military against peaceful demonstrators provoking every civilized person on this planet is in fani-kayodes words (world) sensitive to what people want, think or say.
If I have a chance getting to Nigeria I need to talk to Mr Fani-Kayode about this text wheter it is a written statement or a speech. I dont see how he is able to argue any of the points he made in this text.
Peace to occupy nigeria
We’ve just started. No going back! The NLC have betrayed us, bt we will continue with or without the NLC. May God help us all
His father was a thief,he his a thief only God knws wot his son or dautaa wud becom,I cud recall wen he was bz trying 2sway media to his pockect during his time n govt Fani-Kayode VS BA or Fani-Kayode VS OBJ,am sure u ve nt stop taking drugs……isshhh 4u
Pls don’t insult FFK. He is entitled to his opinion or advise, whichever. Let us be civil in expressing our opinions. The strike may be over, but we have driven home our feelings & humble thots to GEJ& co. we don’t have politics in Nigeria, all we have is sabotage & subversion. Self centered leaders who are totally desentized from the people they are supposedly serving. Shame on them. Now, i believe they know that times & thinking of Nigerians have changed. We the youths can & will no longer tolerate their robberies and incompetence any longer. Let them sit up and do the right thing for the masses. They are all just getting it , that they are sitting on a keg of gun powder. My only pain is that the poor masses will always have to bear the brunts of their wrong decisions. Now the prices of goods & services that have shot up astronomically with the old fuel price may not come down. Poor poor masses.even if they pay the new minimum wage now, it is worse than before, becos this wage increase is not comparative with the 50% in fuel price. but what can we do? Let our past & present looters not think they have escaped, becos their payback day will come sooner than they expect. Revolution is a gradual process. We have just started. Let us continue to occupy in our minds, be prepared. you may never know. God bless Nigeria, God bless my fellow compatriots.
Pls dis guy can hold a view, its his prerogative.its out of place 2 see people casting aspertions on senior citizens of this country.
Pls dis guy can hold a view, its his prerogative.its out of place 2 see people cast aspertions on senior citizens of this country.
He is not one of us(masses),he does not understand our needs.he’s only out to gain cheap popularity, but he won’t get it.
Politician, we don’t take you seriously
We could all express our grieviances and hurts in better ways and yet drive home our points. I see a public forum such as this as a place for us to learn to contribute meaningfully and respond appropriately to issues rather than a place to vent hatred, a tool for the weak, and asassinate characters. Our time will come!
