Disgraced two time ex convict and usurper of the Government House of Delta State, Nigeria Mr. James Ibori has claimed he pleaded guilty to the 10 count charge of stealing, money laundering and corruption because as an elder statesman and patriotic Nigerian, it was in the best interest of the country that its name gets saved the embarassment of a long court process that’d have had the country’s name bandied for the wrong reasons in a foreign court.

According to Vanguard, a statement allegedly signed by Mr. Ibori’s meadia assistant Mr. Tony Eluemunor on behalf of his principal says ” “Ibori did not want a long trial where the name of the country would be bandied about in a foreign court”

Okay, is Ibori also being prosecuted for being dumb? If not he should spend ten extra years for this stupid attempt at face saving. He should just look for ways of making sure his other loots are discovered and forget about saving his name or image. He is doomed for ever. He stole about N40 billion to save Nigeria from embarrassment is what he will hear next when he goes senile whil suffering from the slaps of nemesis the souls of the people who died because people like Ibori spent money meant for drugs and hospitals to splurge on prostitutes and hangers on.
