PRESS RELEASE: Sapele Book Drive 2012: -3,000 Books in 20 Days -
November 30, 2012 – Sapele, Delta State.
The “3000 Books in 20days” book drive is a book donation initiative of d-xtreme unit.
In line with our ‘Library Series Project’ which began in 2010, which have included a physical make-over of the Sapele library and a book drive to equip the library; we are embarking on a book drive to establish libraries in ten secondary schools in Sapele, in what we have tagged the “SAPELE BOOK DRIVE 2012”. This campaign is scheduled to run from December 1st – 20th, 2012.
We aim to raise 3,000 books within this 20-day period through donations from the public (individuals and organizations); we also seek to build capacity in literary studies among young people in the community through the establishment of the Sapele Book Club. This project will be concluded at a Book reading/Presentation ceremony with the students and teachers of representative schools present on December 22nd, 2012.
We are appealing to individuals and corporate organizations to team up with us; there is no limit to the number of book(s) you can donate. These books should be mostly relevant for young people between the ages of 8 – 16years of age.
These are our contact for sending books.
