PRESS RELEASE: ‘Startup Nigeria’ Launches ‘Storm the Yard’

 

Who We Are

Startup Nigeria is a non-governmental/non-profit organization born out of the need to build an economically sound nation through economically empowered citizens. Startup Nigeria intends to equip youths with 21st century entrepreneurial and intrepreneurial skills so as to significantly contribute her quota to slowing down the gush of unfit graduating students joining the innumerable unemployed graduates still on the streets of the nation.

 

Project Description

Storm The Yard is a project with a mission to raise Product, Service and Persons as brands of National Essence from Nigerian University Campuses. This project was born out of the need to empower the knowledgeable, young and learning citizens of this nation with vibrant 21st century entrepreneurial and intrepreneurial skills, so they can compete and produce impact results of positive national echo.

 

Strategy

The project (Storm The Yard) will engage on a training tour of Nigerian university campuses across the country. Attendants will be trained and motivated to be sensibly decisive, equipped and with a patriotic sense of duty to self, the people and the nation.

 

 

What to Expect

Participants would be taken in the following buildup courses by these speakers/trainers:

  •  Business Startup and Effective Career Strategy – Haastrup Steven (Startup and Business Solutions Consultant)
  •  Social Media Strategy for a Vibrant Business and Career – Onaopemipo Adebanjo  (Well renowned Social Media Consultant)
  •  Management abilities to Starting up a Career and Business – Myles Makafui (Top-Notch Management Consultant)

And other Invited Under-35 successful entrepreneurs and intrepreneurs per tour

 

Tour Outline

The tour has been approved and confirmed to be launched on the 18th and 19th of January, 2013 at the University of Lagos, Akoka. Other Universities shortlisted after the University of Lagos event are the University of Ilorin (February), Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (March), Obafemi Awolowo University (April) and the University of Ibadan (May).

Amosu Arraigned, Granted N500 Million Bail
