My Review:

‘Tunde Rosanwo is the cousin Canary. Like @egghead, Rosanwo has his jovial moments on Twitter where he could have some fun and freestyle. Make no mistakes though, when it comes to Nigeria, they don’t come with any jokes. The first day after the soldiers were sent out to Lagos by Gen. Goodluck Jonathan during the OccupyNigeria street protests, I went out to Ojota. Guess who told me exactly where I had been? Rosanwo! And he was far away in Eastern Europe at the time. That’s how far their intelligence goes. Try them, get burnt.

Babatunde Rosanwo is savvy and brave, a Manchester United fan, he knows how to blend seriousness with fun on this platform. The ladies love him but I am not cleared to say whether he loves them back. I don’t know his position on pounded yam but he appears to be right leaning on that front. When I get stuck while writing or looking for data that may not be readily available on the internet, Rosanwo is the type that’d make them available to you in record time. He is one of those people whose DMs are so important I know as long as they are here, I will always be a good boy . A very strong member of the OccupyNigeria movement, Rosanwo provided a lot of intelligence and financial support during the movement. He knows the real heart behind most of those posing and pretending to be Yoot Leaders. When he bites, he bites hard and when he laughs, he laughs hard. If you are looking for an activist who is also able to relax and have some fun on Twitter, follow Rosanwo. I particular enjoy how he is able to identify people who crush on me before I even know what’s up – yes, his intelligence network covers less important matters too. He has spoken at and represented Nigeria and the OccupyNigeria movement at many conferences and gatherings abroad. He could be making new moves soon as he puts an end to a phase in his life. When he left twitter recently to concentrate on a project, I know many ladies who spent less time because Rosanwo was not around. That’s special for someone who is one of the dangerous Canary Cabal.

My Review:
The man with the radar, Egghead was the most important Twitter handle in Nigeria during the 2011 elections. He is such a Twitter legend, the phrase “On My Radar” was first used by him and it is now the term used by many who feel they are the first to come across a certain news material. If news breaks from this angle, it is the news! On a platform where palasa has become news reporting, you want to count on Egghead to always give you the orijo. Even when you think that radar of his has finally failed, Egghead’s radar always gets to have the last laugh. In a nation where joining politics means the loss of your ability to differentiate between what is right and what is good – when in government, government is always right and the people are always wrong and they never understand – but Egghead has kept his head above that sickness. He is an activist and despite working with a State Government, he still is one.

Egghead’s radar has not been as busy as it was in the early days and there are a lot of duplicates and copy cats – a sign that his radar is indeed legendary – but it remains a go to radar for proven news. He has appeared at conferences home and abroad speaking on social media, governance and other sub-issues around both. You may not find him playing around with the opposite sex on Twitter but he is very much available because he is single. His views on marriage may not be soothing to you though if you are looking to tie him down. I still have a pending invitation from him to visit Ekiti but that doesn’t even look like it will happen this year. Where I’d ignore people who abuse and attack me, Egghead has his way with them. He appears gentle and nice but you can try him at your own peril. He is influential in the international circle and has kept his head in government. When the Governor needs someone to bully his commissioners to work, Egghead always comes to his rescue. They have both perfected the good cop, bad cop strategy so well Ekiti State is the better for it.

If you are looking for fun, wit and news without the ogundamisi – always on the red button – Rosanwo and Egghead are Canaries who though will bite hard but with that same teeth get to play with the kids.

My Review:
Those who don’t like him really don’t like him, those who like him really do like him. Those who have met him don’t know him, and those who know him have not met him. Sankara is the boss! Baba lo’n jebe! He is the Canary! Whatever that means to you let it be but it means trouble to Aso Rock and all their associates. Kayode Ogundamisi is not just a social media era activist. As at 1992, he was a one man thorn in the flesh of the authorities of the University of Jos. He was the type that’d go on a one man protest and he did have a cult following. He was called Sankara then and the name has stuck. He was hesitant about coming to Twitter but he is today one of its addicts

Ministers fear him, Senators know his legend and Aso Rock would not dare him. When he is in Nigeria on a state visit, his hotel is abuzz with powerful politicians who just want to show their solidarity with his work. This is both a show of saving ones political career and also in some cases, pay honour to whom it is due. A former top shot of the OPC when it was still Nigeria’s number one militant group, you don’t want to test this one. He is an activist extraordinaire. Do not abuse him about what he does because he has a though skin for bullsh*t and your words will not go farther than your own mouth or tweet. He appears to be one of those people that will always be anti-government irrespective of who is there or what they are doing right or wrong. This is a wrong assertion. The first time I heard Rotimi Amaechi was unto some good works in Rivers State, it was directly from @ogundamisi . He had travelled to Port Harcourt on a private visit and had seen some of the Amaechi projects. When he was telling me at his hotel in Abuja, it did look like a dream. That was a culture shock for me. I make this a point as a necessity to establish the fact that, if the government gets it right, the likes of Kayode Ogundamisi will tell you they are or have gotten it right. People like him must be kept and protected by a society that cares about its masses because if there is a voice of the masses on Twitter, this is it. You may get bored by his seeming endless criticism but that is his life purpose and that is his wiring – to continue to speak against injustice, bad governance and corruption in all their forms and on every platform he finds. He has a cult following on Facebook too. He is the only one I have on more than one occasion willingly formed voltron for. The last time I had a real go at someone in government on Twitter, it was because the person had used the wrong word against Ogundamisi. While Rosanwo, Egghead and some other upcoming activists spend a few times relaxing on twitter, Sankara relaxes by retweeting other people’s opinion. He never lets his leg off the throttle. In a nation where its governance process needs a constant beating to gets its head right, people like Ogundamisi must be supported and encouraged. These things come at a cost and it helps to know that the people you are fighting for are worth the quest. He supports Chelsea.
