On Monday 10 September Paula and Altus will be walking down the isle – at last!

It deserved to be a big wedding and a big wedding it is. In fact, it will be broadcast over two episodes: all the drama of the day itself and the church ceremony on Monday, while the reception will be broadcast on Tuesday the 11th.

The bride is ravishing in a real Vesselina Pentcheva wedding dress, the groom tall, dark and handsome and the bridesmaids in an array of jewel colours.

Hilda has outdone herself with the wedding cake. It looks as if it might topple over at any minute, but each detail is filled with symbolism about the bride and groom’s love for each other and their future happiness. The ballroom of the Northwing Hotel where the reception is held, oozes old-world charm and glamour – a fit setting for the opskop of the decade.
