Associates of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, will on Saturday, organise a special anniversary and praise worship session to commemorate the 54th birthday anniversary of the former governor of the Big Heart State.
The associates are organising the special session, which has been tagged: “Birthday of Reconciliation,” under the auspices of James Ibori Political Associates (JIPA).
Chairman and Secretary of the group, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi and Olorogun Jaro Movudu Egbo, in a statement on Wednesday explained that the special worship session will be chaired by elder statesman and Professor Emeritus, B.I.C Ijeomah.
According to the statement, South South Vice President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop God-Do-Well Avwomakpa, would be the guest preacher, while Rev. Gbejero and Rev. Oyibo would also minister.
The event will take place at Ibori’s country home in Oghara, Delta State by 10.am.

This shows that we are shameless people in this country, will the international community be happy with us when they see that a convict is been celebrated which means we support corruption.
How do we expect change in this country when the so call men of God are celebrating their ‘son’? My guts tells me that if things don’t change, Ibori will be in the senate after his term.
It is rather unfortunate to say the least that a sane person will do this talkless of men of God. I guess they’re set of hungry pastors who after looting from the church also partake of the national loot. In the bible, Elijah didnt join loot forces of Ahab, neither did Jesus parley with the corrupt leaders of his time. I wonder who pastors today take as their role model.. This is rather left a rhetorical question.
Very disappointing! Those guest speakers should be arrested and sent to jail.
What a shów of shame, its only in nigeria that such hypocrisy is seen, what signal are the organisers sending across to the young generations, that crime n looting will b rewarded, for d CAN representative, they only confirmed to the whole world that religion practices in these of the world is only a money making venture.
honestly im not suprised. these people will always want to do some “work” to keep getting money from their “common criminal” benefactor. its not new. same “show of shame” was held for bode george. the good thing is that though they have succeded in stripping god naked, they cant rape god not even with their array of pastors and reverends. wait a little are these men of God? oh no, they are men of money.
Even Professor Emeritus joined in the shameful celebration? See how Nigeria will take time to develop.
Its a shame.
Show of shame I’m not suprised but ibori is not alone in dis dat so called pastor is not a man of God d one who said he is demon destroyer its a pity
If the Rev here (REV OYIBO) is the same as Rev Gideon Oyibo then the Nigeria Baptist Convention should call him to order!
Only in Nigeria “criminals” that have money to throw about are celebrity. There are worse criminals than Ibori, he just happen to be caught.
Celebrating criminal in the house of God
Congratulation . Let him come back and enjoy his loots . Here in nigeria Bode gorge was celebrated . But worst situation here are the so call man of God . Are they really man of God or gods ? If is God i know , Allahu swt those organisers will definitely be punish if not by man then by GOD
This is nja the place were looters were respected/honoured even men of God participate shame !!!.
Nigerians and the Government give so much rigard to criminals as so far OBJ was pardon to be president in nigeria.
U live in glass houses yet throw stones @ an adulterous woman
This isn’t surprising cos it has happened b4. Bode george had same celebration in d church n he said “its one-by-one Nig Ltd”. Its Ibori’s turn to enjoy d celebration, watch out for more. When d head is sick it affects virtually all parts of d body. We won’t b fine until d head n what controls d head is ok. Nigeria is seek n we all know, if we d children cant come to compromise to unanimously cast out d devil possessing our father then one day we shall wail together to d grave of our father in regrets n sorrow! Wake up my dear brothers n sisters. This virus is eating deep into OUR family n we need to wipe it out once n 4 all. Pls wake up!!!
It’s so sad for our moral values. Even our so called leaders have been striken by poverty of the mind, they no longer know what’s right. God help us.
