Last Thursday was the first leg of the much anticipated Anthony Hamilton Back to Love Tour. The concert was held at the Ellis Park Arena formerly known as the Standard Bank Arena in Johannesburg. The venue was packed to capacity which was expected since both Johannesburg  the shows were sold out two weeks prior the concert.

During the press conference before the tour began, he talked about his song pray for me and what motivated him to write such a spiritual song. “I went through a difficult time in my life where I have made mistakes and the consequences were so hard that I had to turn to God, because I believed He was the only one who can help me” he said.  Pray for me is one of the hits from his latest album, Back to Love. At the press conference  he accepted a plaque celebrating the commercial success of all his albums.

Tshidi Moholo and Phiri were the opening acts for the night She performed a couple of Malaika’s tracks and got the crowd on their feet but things got really heated up when she sang Malaika’s old time hit- Destiny, the crowd went ballistic.
