If Only……..
“I love you very much.” I said brashly.
“I would love to be in a relationship with you, something real and permanent, “I continued, “I want to share my heart with someone. Please let me share the rest of my interesting life ….” Before I could finish that line, she interrupted me in a most beautiful fashion:
“So why do you think I am the one?” she asked me.
“You see, from the moment I set my eyes on you I knew you were the one. More so, my spirit just keeps telling me that you are the one. I just feel this peace whenever I am around you.” At this she laughed a little bit, but still retained her composure. I was happy she laughed.
“But is it just spirit connection? Is that the only reason why you seem to love and want me?”
Oh I had consulted with a few friends and they had given me the series of questions I will most likely encounter if I were to make my intentions known to any girl. Their predictions were coming true. I itemized the glaring physical qualities which I find attractive.
“I have been waiting so long for this moment in my life. Let’s do this,” she said and jumped on me with excitement – such excitement as I have never seen her exhibit before.
Immediately I woke up. Alas! It was a dream.
“Oh Indiana! This must be confirmation from the Lord.” I told myself happily.
Indiana is fresh in every sense of the word. Fair skinned with a near-British accent. She attends my church and sings in the choir. Oh how well she sings! I fell in love with her after a ministration she did, a month after I started attending this church. Since then I stayed. I couldn’t return to my previous church. Yes, the pastor preaches well over there. This sister sings well over here too.
Indiana is very beautiful. Beautiful does not really qualify Indiana’s beauty, hence I decided to do a little dictionary run just to be able to near-accurately describe how beautiful she really is. ‘Pulchritude’ was the closest word to what I had in mind to say about her, which means “the quality of appearance which pleases the eye; beauty; comeliness; grace; loveliness.”
Last week, however, I finally walk up to my Indiana – by the way, Indiana isn’t her real name. I just refer to her as my Indiana. I repeated the exact same words I had told her in the dream that helped confirm my request and secure her heart.
Guess what? She refused.
I mean, she said NO.
Well, she didn’t actually say “no”, she just said that she was already in another relationship and as such can’t go out with me.
Now I am distraught. My faith is shaky. I had asked a few brothers of their opinion and they gave me a go ahead, saying the Lord was surely with me. I had even showed her picture to my mum and she was really happy saying I have her blessing.
And the dream; does that not also show that I have God’s backing in this endeavor?
I am confused. What should I do? I think she is the one. Should I wait hoping that she will come out of her current relationship, or should I move on and seek another?

I am not a proponent of waitng for her relationship to b broken what if it never happens? God is not man so he cannot lie my advice is pray harder take ur mind off it a proverb says love is like a bird let it fly if it comes back to u then it is yours for d keeps, but always greet her try to take her out if she allows it as a friend it may just work

I find that quite perfect for this situation. I know that we don’t always attain what we want in life by being passive about it, but I also believe that sometimes patience is the best approach.
The fact that she states she is currently in a relationship, I think, is the strongest indication to me that perhaps this what not meant to be. Don’t meddle with someone else’s destiny; If she was meant for you, it’ll come to pass in the end.
Otherwise, perhaps there’s a bigger and better option for you out there…a whole continent instead of just a state *wink*

well.. i honestly think u shld b patient a little. as for me dreams r lyk pre recordings dt later happn no matter how long it takes. bt most importantly wen u pray, pray to God to mk her urs if she’s d best choice he has for u. &if she isnt show u another dream

If only all dreams come 2ru,then we might as well have many presidents 4a country @d same tym.my dear Indiana is already occupied and dat settles.if par adventure she d relationship doesn’t work out.Dats if u’ve NT found ur own indiana,then d both of u can Wk smthing out.
If it’s the will of God, things will work out in the end, whether now or later. However, as others have pointed out, are you sure it’s the will of God. This may not necessarily be the case but sometimes a dream doesn’t mean God is saying yes. Just continue to focus on God, seek His face, trust Him and everything will work out in His perfect timing.

I agree wit so many people here.you should have prayed abt ur dream and allowed God to confirm the dream 1st.i think som of us sisters are tired of hearing dreams guys had abt us.God alwez confirms His word.so its a lesson to u,dnt jt act on one dream ok.
Another concern and ask guys is,if am a friend wat else do u need dats why u want a relationship?so it means d relationship is another status rit?it needs more …..???so you should have allowed the friendship to grow and get to know her well.the “am in a relationship” most of the time is nt true,girls use it to scare guys off(anyway.to see the serious and determined ones)Will advice you to put urself together.see her as a friend,develop urself and the friendship and keep faith alive.You see she wants to live in a reality not a dream or abstract world..one more thing..ask urself wat is d value of dis Indiana to you and of the “relationship”.its only when you know the value /purpose?? you can go for it.wen there is no value there is alwez abuse.ok…
