Eagles continue preparations

Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Stephen Keshi eventually settled for a
20-man list on Monday morning for Wednesday’s international friendly
match against the Lone Star of Liberia in Monrovia.

All the usual suspects were captured, including goalkepers Chigozie
Agbim and Okemute Odah, defenders Azubuike Egwueke, Papa Idris and
Juwon Oshaniwa, midfielders Gabriel Reuben and Bartholomew Ibenegbu
and strikers Kalu Uche and Izu Azuka.

Super eagles team B had yesterday thrashed a Kaduna based amateur clubside.

The match was played yesterday morning in Abuja

The final score was Eagles 4 – DSS 0

Goal scorers are Ejike Uzoenyi, Sunday Mba, Kalu Uche and Idu Azuka.

The Eagles are expected to leave Abuja for Liberia tomorrow where they will play a friendly match on the 16th of this month.

The team flew out of Abuja to Lagos aboard an Air Nigeria flight on
Monday afternoon, and will spend the night in Lagos before connecting
another Air Nigeria airline flight to Monrovia on Tuesday morning.

Keshi’s home boys will have an opportunity to feel the turf of the
Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Monday evening before Wednesday’s clash
with the Lone Star.

The Nigeria Football Federation believes Wednesday’s game will prepare
the home boys for the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifying match
against Rwanda in Kigali on February 29.

Coach Keshi is scheduled to name his list of players for the Rwandan
game immediately after returning from Monrovia.
